For many years, as a Boston portrait photographer, I dreamed of opening my own space – somewhere people would want to visit, no matter the weather. A photography studio near Boston where families, couples, and individuals alike could come to escape the hustle and bustle of their days – and spend time focusing on their journey and their lives.
If the pandemic taught us anything, it taught us that life is so short. We don’t have limitless time on this earth, which is why it’s so important to take those moments to cherish your life, your loved ones, and your journey. That’s why I opened my own photo studio just outside Boston.
As the proud owner of my own luxury photo studio in lovely Lexington, Massachusetts, I've poured my heart and soul into crafting an experience that goes beyond just photography. The studio's design is an ode to simplicity and elegance – and a calm, relaxing space to get pampered and spend intentional time with the people who matter most to you. It’s not just another Boston photo studio – it’s a home.
At my photo studio, our journey together is not just about snapping photos – it's about creating a conscious experience that reflects your unique story. You're not just a subject; you're an integral part of the storytelling process. What does that mean, exactly? Let me explain!
My photography studio may just be one of my favorite places in the world – a serene oasis filled to the brim with vibrant, positive energy. It’s the perfect place to unleash your creative energy.
Nestled on the top floor of a charming 1880 PINK building, our 750-square-foot studio in Lexington is a peaceful, creative haven where all the magic happens! We’re the last building in a cul-de-sac, ensuring a private and calm atmosphere for your studio photoshoot.
Inside, the entire studio is painted white to bounce the light beautifully with white wooden accents. We have two dedicated parking spaces, so you never have to worry about finding parking (which can be such a pain!!).
In addition to all the natural walls, windows and furniture in the room, we also have an electronic backdrop system. My photography studio TRULY has it all! My clients especially love photos against the gorgeous white French door.
My photography studio has all the comforts you could ever need! We have dedicated spaces for hair and makeup as well as wardrobe changes. We also have dedicated spaces for your ordering appointment, viewing your gallery, and a spacious waiting area with lots of wall art to inspire you! And of course, what Lexington area photography studio is complete without the shooting area? We have ample space to bring your artistic visions to life in our specialized photographic studio space.
At my Lexington photo studio, I shoot with my two Canon R5 bodies, which offer powerful professional performance in every shot. For my studio portrait photography, I always grab my 35mm, 50mm, or 85mm lenses – all prime lenses that offer crisp shots with stunning depth of field for your family photos. For my maternity clients, I love working with my Canon RF 24-105mm, a lens that is truly the cherry on top to capture your belly!
What shoots do I offer at my Lexington photography studio?
And of course, it goes without saying: pets are welcome!
Unlike other photographers, I do NOT rent my studio out. This space is mine and mine alone, perfect for intimate and private photoshoots.
There are plenty of options when picking a Boston area photography studio… It can be difficult to know which works best for you. I may be biased, but I love my handcrafted space. Here’s why I love my luxury photo studio so much – and why you will, too!
Conveniently located in downtown Lexington, my studio is a stone's throw away from shops and restaurants, making it the perfect spot for your photography adventure. You can make it a whole day – a studio photoshoot, then explore one of Boston’s best historic suburbs. Photoshoots can be special and intimate days dedicated to spending time with your partner and your family – so why not make it a whole day? Plan a day out, stop at a local restaurant (I’m happy to provide recommendations for date night spots nearby!), or do something you’ve always wanted to try, like a Battle Green guided tour. This makes the whole day special – Prioritize fun!
When I first set up my family photography studio, one of my biggest goals was to provide the best service possible. I didn’t want families to hustle to the photo studio, only to be pushed to rush faster so another client could visit. I didn’t want families to worry about where their little ones might use the restroom, or where mom could freshen up. My studio is yours to enjoy when the big day comes!
At my photo studio, all my families feel like friends. That means, even before we start, we’ll sit down together at your house and talk about your vision. During the in-home consultation will talk about where these photos could be displayed. What might you wear – and how will we coordinate your family’s outfit. There’s no need to worry about anything because we’ll work together to ensure your photoshoot turns out as stress-free as possible.
It doesn’t stop there. Once you get to the studio, my hair and makeup artist will pamper you, so you’ll feel and look fabulous! (Moms, be honest: when was the last time you were the star of the show?). Then, your family will join us. There is a dedicated room to change into a new, fresh outfit, and flexibility to take a break in the comfort of our studio if you need it. At my studio, you’re the star of the day!
From picking outfits to installing wall art in your home, we’ll hold your hand! It’s a full-service luxury studio!
Some photography studios in Boston can be crowded – especially if you opt for a location in the center of town. That can be really tough and really stressful, especially if you have little ones or elderly relatives.
Picking a photography studio slightly outside of downtown Boston can change the course of your day. Instead of being stressful and difficult, my photo studio in Lexington is serene and relaxing. We just hear the birds and the breeze of the wind. That’s one of the reasons I love it so much.
We all have busy schedules and busy lives. Between school pick-ups, work schedules, after-school activities, dinners and everything life throws your way – where does a family portrait shoot fit in? More importantly, how does it fit in?
Of course, it seems busy. But as a mom myself, I fully understand how hectic life can be. I’ve lived through those stages of life time and time again. You know, the stages where you feel like things just could not get more hectic? Yup, I relate 100% .So I know how important flexible scheduling can be.
When we work together, we’ll schedule to pick the best times for you and your family. We’ll work around your schedule and make it all seamless!
Photography has been my passion and my purpose for so many years now, I’ve almost lost track! There’s something so special about capturing a family’s best day, whether that means them running along the beach together or a one-year-old celebrating their birthday with a cake smash.
Life is so short, and time so fast-moving, that we often lose track of what we love the most – those small, intimate, intentional moments with our family. That’s one of the reasons I decided to open up my photography studio near Boston– to allow families, couples and individuals a quiet, intentional place to reflect and connect. I want you to have tangible memories of the beautiful life you’re living right now!
Let me promise you this: above all else, when you step into my studio for your portrait photography session, you’re stepping into a judgment-free zone. It’s a place where you can express yourself, let your guard down, and truly be YOU! No preconceived notions, no distractions — just a warm and inviting space where you can shine like the star you are.
I truly believe the best photography comes from collaboration. In my eyes, you're not just a client – you're an essential part of the story we're telling through photographs. Before we get to my photography studio, I want to know all about you as a family, as a couple, as a mother or as an individual. Have you overcome something tough? Did you celebrate a milestone? Whatever makes you, you – that’s what I want to know! Then, we’ll work together to make it all come to life, whether that means help with your wardrobe or special backdrops.
The best part? My photo studio is 10 minutes from Concord and just 30 minutes from downtown Boston. Let's turn your photo sessions into a journey, and your memories into timeless treasures. It’s time to make magic together!
